Breakdown Episode 1: Avenue Breaks Down “I Love My”
Welcome to NEHip-Hop’s “Breakdown”, a new monthly series created in collaboration with Ex Nihilo Pictures. Each month we will be sitting down with a different artists to take a deeper look into their songs. Not only will we be discussing what inspired them to write the song and the meaning behind the lyrics, but each episode will also feature an original performance of that specific single.
To kick the whole thing off we were fortunate enough to sit down with one of Boston’s most talked about up and coming rappers, Avenue. In the premier episode Ave discusses with us the inspiration behind writing his song “I Love My” and breaks down some of his favorite lyrics from the track before giving us a live performance.
