The name Sean Scott may not ring a bell right now but, once his debut feature’s made the rounds, everybody’s gonna be Talkin’ Bout the Empire State rhymesayer. On this freshly-minted mixtape single, debuting on our front page along with director Lambkini‘s official visuals, the unsigned emcee sets out to singlehandedly disprove those who claim NYC’s fallen off. Pav Bundy‘s production, a scintillating synth arrangement with just a hint of dubstep in the thrumming bassline, sets the stage for verses celebrating his city’s illustrious legacy in the game, as well as his own paper chase. Fans will be able to find Talkin’ Bout and much more on Scott’s My Inception mixtape, scheduled for digital release in October.
