Vivat lupus is a project by Dante Cope, a jazz/hip hop artist based in Grand Rapids, MI, that infuses the live band experience with the digital prowess of modern beat making. The band for this project includes jazz drummer Hugo Claudin, indie-rock all-stars Jason Norman (guitar) and Kyle Colter of the PistolBrides (trombone), violinists Dustin Meyer and Bethany Rabbitt, with Dante Cope on the saxophone.
Vocalists include newcomers The Action Figures fresh off their world tour. Detroit Hip-Hop legend Dante Lasalle. Atlanta indie emcee Stori Brooks as well as Dante Cope and a few other Grand Rapids artists. The album will be released worldwide digitally online (iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc…) and on vinyl in Mid August.
