Ice Cube & Will Packer On "Ride Along", Cubes Acting Start, Kevin Hart & More!
Recently before an advanced screening of their new film “Ride Along, Ice Cube and producer Will Packer stopped by WERS to chop it up with Malcolm Grey. First they discuss Cube’s acting career and how he reluctantly accepted his first role in “Boys N The Hood” after John Singleton begged him to do it for 2 years. Cube then discusses the difference between making films and making albums and how at this point in his career he loves them both equally. Next Will Packer discusses what he looks for before getting involved with a project, the themes he looks to express with his projects and what attracted him to the film “Ride Along”. Both Cube and Packer then get into what it was like working with funnyman Kevin Hart on set. Before wrapping it Cube expresses that although he was in NWA, at this point in his career he has no issues playing a cop.
