Ice Cube On Acting, Making Boyz N The Hood, Movies vs Music & Playing A Cop

Recently while on a press tour for their new film “Ride Along” Ice Cube and film producer Will Packer stopped by WERS to chop it up with Malcolm Gray. In this clip from the interview Ice Cube explains that when he started rapping he had no intentions of acting. Although skeptical, Cube eventually accepted his first role in “Boyz N The Hood” after director/producer John Singleton begged him to be in it for 2 years. Cube also goes on to explain that now enjoys making movies as much as music and that although he was in NWA he has no issues playing a cop in his new film “Ride Along”.
